This privacy policy sets out how CycleSafe ("CycleSafe", "we", "us") uses and protects information that you choose for us to receive whilst you use our mobile application and website services ("Service").

CycleSafe is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. We may update this policy as the Service evolves. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes.

1. Information We Collect and Use of that Information

To register for CycleSafe services you provide your forename and surname, email address, and mobile telephone number. To leverage the value of the CycleSafe mobile application you may choose to connect with other users of CycleSafe. These connections are mutually accepted and are recorded within the CycleSafe service.

In order to provide the location tracking features of CycleSafe, we collect geolocation information utilising GPS, WIFI and network triangulation. At all times you are in control of who can see your location information. Only those who you permit as a connection or whose ride you join within the CycleSafe service can view your location information. CycleSafe will continue to collect your geolocation information and it is always available to you in the CycleSafe application. We may also choose to share location information with third parties in future partnerships to provide additional services to enhance the experience of the CycleSafe service, which may include (but not limited to) emergency services, advertising, research and analytics. If at any time you do not want CycleSafe to collect your geolocation information you may adjust the settings on your mobile device to limit the CycleSafe application's access to your location information.

We may send you service related correspondence via email, for example account verification, service status and updates, password resets, and helpful how to guides. The Service may send you notifications for relevant actions by yourself or your connections. In future updates to the Service we may choose to send you location sensitive notifications including those related to nearby events or incidents including those that may help protect the safety of your person. Such service related emails are integral to the CycleSafe service and it is not possible to opt out from them.

2. Information Sharing

Personal information including forename, surname, email address and mobile telephone number will be shared with any connections you choose to accept within CycleSafe. Your connections will also have access to your location information unless you choose to revoke their access to such information by removing these connections.

We may choose to share your personal and location information with third party partners to help fulfil services of CycleSafe, for example, emergency services or breakdown recovery providers. We may share your personal and location information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

We will not disclose any personal information or location information to authorities of law or government entities unless strictly required to do so by law or if in our sole discretion to i) protect the personal safety priority and value of the CycleSafe service and any of its users or others; ii) if illegal activities are suspected or evidenced or iii) protect against liability, claims or allegations.

We reserve the right to at any time sell or divest the CycleSafe product and its services, and associated transferal of personal and location information for its user base.

3. Security of Your Information

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect. In the unlikely event or situation that causes a breach of security and any information that we collect is compromised as a result, we will take all reasonable measures to investigate and minimise any associated impact. Where necessary and appropriate we will notify individuals whose information may have been compromised as well as follow due processes of local law.

4. Your Choices About Your Information

You remain in control of your information. If you choose not to accept any of the policy as outlined above you may choose not to receive the services provided by CycleSafe. You may choose to configure your mobile device to prevent CycleSafe from accessing and collecting your own location information. You may continue to view the location information of your connections.

You may at any time access and change your personal information such as forename, surname, email, mobile telephone number and password via the mobile application.

We will retain all personal and location information for as long as an account remains active. You may request to deactivate your account, where your personal information, connection relationships, ride and historical location data will be deleted. A request for account deactivation can be submitted via the CycleSafe Support email address.

5. Changes to Our Privacy Policy

CycleSafe reserves the right to modify or update this Privacy Policy and so it should be reviewed periodically. You will be notified of any material changes to the Privacy Policy pertaining to your personal information.
